About Bill Fledderus

Bill Fledderus is the long-time senior editor at Faith Today, alongside Karen Stiller. As a veteran journalist and professor of journalism with deep roots in Christian communications, Bill is uniquely equipped to help Canadian Christians navigate the intersection of faith and culture.

Bill’s fluency in French and love for connecting with francophone Christians affords him a unique, lived perspective on faith and culture in Canada. Bill’s university study of literature in English and French has become a lifelong passion. He taught creative writing at Redeemer University from 2007–2014, and since then has switched to teach courses in news writing and opinion writing.

He has lived in Edmonton, Montréal, Oshawa, Markham, London (Ont.) and now resides in Hamilton. He’s married with two adult sons.

About Karen Stiller

Karen Stiller is the host of the Faith Today Podcast and senior editor of Faith Today, alongside Bill Fledderus. Karen offers generous and honest insight into writing, ministry life, and navigating faith through The Minister’s Wife: A memoir of faith, doubt, friendship, loneliness, forgiveness and more (Tyndale House, 2020).

Karen brings a unique lens to readers and listeners as they examine faith and culture, with experience as the moderator of the annual Religion and Society debate series at the University of Toronto. With a degree in international development studies from Dalhousie University, a communications certificate from Tyndale University College & Seminary, and a Master of Fine Arts in creative non-fiction from University of King’s College, Dalhousie, Karen is well-equipped to champion Canada’s Christian conversation.

Karen is married to Brent, an Anglican priest. They live in Ottawa and they have three grown children.
