Kory Earle is president of People First of Canada, a national organization representing people with intellectual disabilities. His moving testimony about his life and his feelings about extending medical assistance in dying to people with disabilities was recently featured on the EFC Podcast.
“Everything, and I mean everything, is more difficult for people with intellectual disabilities. Many, many other things should be made easier. This [assisted death] is not one of them,” he says.
The pocast recording is from a forum held several months ago on proposed changes to Canadian law on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID).
